What
is Microdermabrasion?
Crystal microdermabrasion, is the most natural way to regain the youthful
appearance of skin without chemicals, lasers, surgery, or extended
periods of irritation and redness. This treatment is ideal for anyone
who wants to improve skin appearance and reverse the signs of aging.
Scarring and moderate wrinkles due to sun damage, acne, or correcting
age spots and other pigment problems, crystal microdermabrasion can
make a beautiful difference to skin. It is the safest and most effective
method available for wrinkle reduction, skin exfoliation, and pigment
correction.
How many treatments?
It is recommended that you have 6-10 treatments on a area based at
7-10 day intervals.
What should I expect?
After a treatment you will notice a difference straight away over
the next 24 hours you may experience a slight Erythma effect (redness)
and dryness.
What does it feel like?
The higher the settings the more effective this treatment is. Some
clients describe it as a rough sensation.
What
do I need to do to prepare for Microdermabrasion treatments?
Prior to your first treatment you need to be using Glycolic products
on the area for at least one week to prepare your skin, this also
means you are going to notice results faster. However, do not use
them for 24 hours pre and post treatment. After your treatments it
is very important that you use SPF 30 and moisturize your face at
least twice a day.
Is there anything
else that will help with the results?
Along side using the Glycolic products on your skin you can also have
a course of glycolic
peels prior to microdermabrasion. To help with dryness it is important
that you use a good
moisturizer (we recommend Moisture Defense Crème – MD
Formulations) and SPF 30 at all
times. (we recommend Elements SPF 30 moisturiser).
