What
is a Peel?
A Peel is a high concentrate of glycolic acid up to 50% . It is designed
to accelerate the removal of dry and dull skin while deep cleansing
and retexturizing all skin types.
How
many treatments do I need?
To achieve optimum results a 6 – 10 treatment course is recommended
at weekly intervals. As maintenance booster peels are advised on a
monthly basis.
What can I expect my skin
to be like after a peel?
Immediately after a peel your skin will feel and look a lot softer
and more hydrated, after 6 – 10 treatments you can expect your
skin to be more even in colour and tone, further hydrated, softer,
smoother and radiant while the appearance of pores, fine lines and
wrinkles are diminished.
Do I need to
be doing anything different at home?
Before having peels you need to be using glycolic acid homecare products
on your skin for at least 2 weeks prior to starting treatments, this
is so your skin is used to the feel of AHA’s (we recommend using
a Starter kit ($110)
For the best outcome it is recommended that you continue to use AHA
based products at home to maintain the results the peels have given
your skin.
It is proven that conditions such as sun – damaged and aged
skin, severe dryness, acne and hyperpigmentation become dramatically
improved with the daily use of AHA skin care products.
What
will a peel feel like?
Some clients describe a peel as a tingly sensation while your skin
adjusts to the AHA’s however we have methods of making it more
comfortable for you.
What areas of the
body can be treated?
The most common area is the face and neck (keeping away from the eyes)
however it is also common on the back for clients who have acne in
this area, or tops of hands where there is sun damage.
How
much will it cost?
A single peel is $95.00, however if you pay for 6 treatments at once
you will receive one
free peel and a starter kit.
Do
I need a consultation?
Yes, prior to your first treatment we need to determine whether you
are suitable to have
peel treatments and ensure you are using glycolic acid home care products.
